Case Study

The UK’s largest commercial property development and investment company continue to entrust Artemis Interiors with the appointment to carry out a CAT B fit out for their flexible office brand located in the Strand. Overlooking London’s most famous landmark, Trafalgar Square, the fit out consists of a reception area, creation office space,  both open plan and meeting suites, a break out area with a colour palette that resembles the Square.  

Adhering to the Client’s environmental policy, we were able to utilise existing CAT B elements by respraying all glazed office fronts and recycling the existing storage units. All furniture was installed as well as setting the ‘scene’ with plant pots and enhancements throughout to create a welcoming environment. Being marketed as a vibrant workspace, the Client interjected modern artwork throughout.

Challenges

To take an existing office space and modernise it, to work as a co-working office space, recycling existing glazed partition’s floor finishes and storage wall and give it a unique feel.

Solutions

Engaged with an Interior designer, who changed the existing feel of the office with a modern mix of furniture, break out spaces, touch down areas and new reception area. They took the look and feel of the area around Trafalgar square and based the colour palette on this. We recycled the existing glazed partitions and resprayed them, we relocated existing storage walls and recycled some of the existing floor finishes, this was mixed with new bespoke joinery to form the new breakout area. New soft furnishing and new desking and seating were installed. The existing MEP services were altered to suit the new layout, with the existing light fittings being converted to LED, all part of the client’s green credential and part of the challenge.
