Great Portland Estates – Foxglove House

London

Occupied Building

Case Study

We completed a CAT B fit out for Great Portland Estates on the 5th floor of this Central London building, under the jurisdiction of Westminster City Council, bearing this in mind, access was tight, along with restrictions on loading and noisy working. The works comprised the strip out of the existing CAT B, with installation of new raised flooring, ceilings, lighting and decoration throughout, double glazed partitioning system and a new VRF heating and cooling system.  Bespoke joinery to the WC’s and kitchen area, along with banquette seating, new floor finishes, furniture and a lightbox feature wall completed this new collaborative working space.

Challenges

Structure of the project was an issue, pre cast concrete floor construction challenges with fixings or soffit mounted equipment especially heavily mechanical services.

Solutions

Setting up a primary sub grid to the soffit to provide flexible fixing.
