Case Study

Artemis were appointed by a global education network, World ORT, to carry a CAT A office refurbishment across 5 floors of ORT House including an extension to the 3rd floor and alterations to the lift shaft. These works also include a CAT B element to the Basement and Ground Floor, creating an open plan office with exposed soffit and services, small cellular offices, tea point and new WC’s.

Other works include undertaking the demolition of the existing reinforced concrete lift shaft and erecting a new RC lift shaft servicing all floors up through the building.

Reglazing of all existing windows with energy efficient glazing and hard and soft landscaping to the external areas and new security gates.

Managing logistics to site have been key in ensuring smooth project delivery, as the building is on a residential road with a single point of access, requiring an external scaffold and materials hoist. The adjacent residential buildings have also necessitated 27/7 noise and dust monitoring.
